There is now a segment of the society which asks to stop and avoid bloodshed and to let Mubarak finish of his term as president. They are asking for the protestors to go home. You are being kind because that’s your nature, which I love of the Egyptians. Being kind with a mass murder is very dangerous though.
It seems a lot easier that Mubarak withdraws the pro-mubarak protesters (being that most of them are cops and work for him) if he wants to stop the massacre.
Does it not seem odd that Amnesty international reports that the army is not defending anyone?
Are you all aware that the army’s supreme commander is Mubarak?
Yesterday the tanks moved sideways, perpendicular to each other rather than parallel. This made it easy for the camel and horse riders to get into Al-Tahrir square. The army stopped checking people for weapons and let the pro-mubarak protesters in to the square armed.
This leads me to conclude that Mubarak actively wants a massacre to happen. Why though?
The biggest reason can be seen from Mubarak’s history. He destroys/kills his opposition. If you’re Egyptian, you should be well aware of this.
The 200 000 people in Al-Tahrir square are the portion who started the revolution in the first place. They are the ones who enticed the rest of Egypt to join them. They are the true believers in a free Egypt and will not accept anything less. They pose the biggest threat to Mubarak and his allies.
They actually understand how the system works. They want to break the system. Which is extremely important if Egypt is to become free. All the Egyptians have to join them.
Mubarak will destroy 200 000 people to make sure no one questions him again in 6 months. He’s been doing it for 30 years! Are you blind to this man? How many people have gone “behind the sun” (disappeared), How many have gone to jail and came out in coffins? Do you feel that “Khaled Said” life is not worth standing up for? We will all be Khaled Saids in 6 months. Egyptians are some of the poorest people in the world. He and his family are some of the richest in the world.
The US, UK, and Israeli governments support him. Not only that, they tell him what to do. He works for them, not the Egyptian people. I remind you that the day before he spoke, the US had sent an official to him. If left 6 months, they will find a replacement for him. That’s what the Egyptians are fighting, not just Mubarak, but the US,UK and Israeli Will, to keep Egypt under their control.
Mubarak must be overthrown along with his corrupt system that ensures the enslavement of the Egyptian people. Removing Mubarak and leaving the system as is, will achieve nothing. He must be forced out. He must not have any control over anything in Egypt.
If he stays for the next 6 months, he will finish off the entire population at his own leisure. Do NOT give him this chance.
A reminder: It’s been one day since his speech, the first day of 6 months. He has sent his people to massacre Egyptians in Tahrir square. I can only imagine what he will do in 6 months!
I stand with the protesters who will not be fooled.
